Manufactured in food quality, high density polypropylene, this filter is lightweight, durable and virtually unbreakable. Simple to operate and requiring no external plumbing, the filter takes only minutes to assemble and can provide up to 80 litres of filtered water each day.
The filter consists of two containers. The upper container is filled with untreated water which then filters down into
the lower container, through a number of ceramic elements.
These Sterasyl ceramic elements consist of a fine micropourous structure, which forms a complete barrier to all particles larger than 0.9 microns in size (1 micron = 1,000th of a millimetre). All particles above this size become trapped on the surface and within the ceramic. Fine particles of silver are evenly dispersed within the structure of Sterasyl, which prevents the growth of bacteria.
Safe filtered water then collects in the lower chamber, to be drawn off from a tap.

What the filter will remove:
Absolute filtration efficiency to 0.9 microns.
For particles from 0.5 to 0.8 microns filtration efficiency is greater than 99.99%.
Reduces turbidity by an efficiency greater than 99.7%.

Independently tested to remove the following parasites and pathogenic bacteria:
Escherischia Coli: >99.99%
Klebsiella: >99.99%
Cholera: >99.99%
Shigella: >99.99%
Salmonella: >99.99%
Guinea Worm: 100%
Giardia Lamblia: 100%
Cryptosporidium: 100%
