Mains Inverter
MIN.010

Input Voltage
11-15V d.c. continuous, 10-18V d.c. for 10 seconds.
No load current 0.4A typical.
Output Voltage
240V a.c. rms nominal, 216-255V a.c. over load range up to 1.1A.
Stepped square waveform, quasi sine wave
Output is by a BS1363 13A UK socket
Output Power
160W continuous @ 30oC. The input current from the battery per 10W
loading is 1A
250W intermittent
500W surge
Temperature Range
-10 to +30oC (output limited by case temperature)
Connections
2 wire +ve and -ve (12 AWG) terminated in battery crocodile clips. Reverse
connection of the input wires will cause the fuse to blow, if repeated several times the
unit may be damaged which will void the warranty.
Case
Painted metal
Dimensions

Caution: The user is responsible for ensuring the suitability of any equipment connected to these battery power adapters. Protect from moisture.
Caution: These adapters are for negative earth use only.
Caution: Because the output waveform contains high order harmonics, any Line to Neutral capacitance, such as found in equipment mains filters, causes a reduction in conversion efficiency. Use of the adapter is therefore limited to equipment having less than 0.47uF direct Line to Neutral capacitance.
Fluorescent lights should have any power factor correction capacitor removed when using the adapter.
Caution: Not for life dependant use.
Caution: HIGH VOLTAGES EXIST IN THIS EQUIPMENT, TREAT AS HOUSE MAINS. When using appliances outside of a vehicle, an RCD SAFETY ADAPTER should be used in the inverters outlet socket.
Note: The adapter is fitted with an audible alarm which indicates that the battery is becoming excessively discharged, the tone will increase in volume until the unit latches off to protect the battery from any fundamental discharging. The tone will start to sound at around 10.5V d.c. and the unit will latch off at around 9.5V d.c. (removing the battery connection to the adapter will reset the unit).
Note: Some colour televisions and monitors designed for universal mains input (90 to 240V a.c.) may not operate with this adapter due to their inherently high switch on surge.
